Terms of Service
The agreement for the KittyYawn public beta, including billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds.
Last updated November 7, 2026 · Applies to the KittyYawn app for macOS, kittyyawn.com and the web console (app.kittyyawn.com).
These terms are an agreement between you and Zhongli Social LLC ("KittyYawn", "we"; mailing address 2108 N St, Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA). By creating an account, accepting the terms in the app, or paying for a plan, you agree to them. If you use KittyYawn for an organization, you confirm you may bind it to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old. KittyYawn is made for professional and work use, whether you use it for an organization or on your own.
1. Public beta, early software
KittyYawn is beta software. It may be unstable, change without notice, or be discontinued. Features marked "beta" on the pricing page may be limited, changed or withdrawn without a price change. To the extent the law allows, we provide KittyYawn "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and with no uptime or service-level commitment. AI-generated guidance, answers and summaries can be wrong or incomplete; check them before you rely on them.
Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, Zhongli Social LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of KittyYawn, and its total liability for any claim relating to KittyYawn is limited to the amount you paid for KittyYawn in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some laws do not allow these exclusions or limits; where they apply, the limits apply only as far as those laws permit, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under them.
2. Accounts and sign-in
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox secure and for everything done through your account. Don't share your sign-in or use it to provide KittyYawn to others. Registration may be open to anyone with an email address, invitation-only or waitlisted; we may change this at any time, which does not affect existing accounts.
3. Plans and prices
KittyYawn has a Free plan and paid plans. What each plan includes, its limits and its current prices are on the pricing page (kittyyawn.com/pricing), which is part of these terms. Prices are stated in US dollars. Pro costs $29/month or $290/year, plus applicable tax. Team and Business plans are not yet purchasable online; contact us for them. When paid plans are available to you, they are bought from the Billing page of the web console.
4. Billing and automatic renewal
- Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or annually. Purchases are sold and processed by Link, Stripe's merchant of record, which collects payment and any applicable tax; your card statement shows
LINK.COM* KITTYYAWN. Zhongli Social LLC provides the KittyYawn service. - The first charge is made at checkout and later charges at the start of each billing period. Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current list price for your plan and interval until you cancel.
- Link/Stripe emails you receipts, failed-payment notices and a reminder before each renewal.
- Pro is a one-person plan (one seat).
5. Promotions
No introductory offer is running. We may offer introductory prices from time to time; their terms are shown before checkout. When an offer is available:
- Introductory offers (for example a reduced Pro price for the first months or first year) are for new subscribers, one per account, and apply only to the plan and billing interval they name. After the introductory period the subscription continues at the list price unless you cancel.
- If you switch plan or billing interval (for example Pro monthly to Pro annual) while an introductory price is active, the introductory price ends at that moment and is not restored if you switch back. The web console shows this before you confirm a change.
6. Plan changes
During the beta, Pro is the only paid plan. To move between monthly and annual billing, contact support@kittyyawn.com.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page of the web console (Stripe Customer Portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for: you keep your plan's features until then, and your account then moves to the Free plan. Your synced data is not deleted by cancelling. You can also cancel from your Link order history at link.com; it has the same effect.
8. Failed payments
If a renewal charge fails, Stripe retries it for up to a week. Your plan stays active for 7 days after the first failure so you can update your payment method. If payment has not succeeded by then, your account moves to the Free plan; it returns to the paid plan if a retry succeeds. If the retries do not succeed, you stay on the Free plan until you pay or subscribe again; you are not charged for a period you did not pay for.
9. Refunds
- First purchase, 7 days. If a paid subscription is the first one on your account and you ask us within 7 days of its first charge, we refund that charge in full and end the subscription at once. One such refund per account. Ask at support@kittyyawn.com.
- Otherwise subscription fees are not refunded or prorated when you cancel; you keep access to the end of the paid period.
- We refund duplicate charges and charges caused by a billing error on our side, in full.
- Refunds are paid by Link/Stripe to the original payment method. You can also contact Link support about a payment; Link may refund a charge under its own policies.
- EU/UK consumers: Link sells your subscription and handles your statutory right of withdrawal under its terms; our 7-day first-purchase refund applies in addition.
10. Taxes
Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, VAT and GST. Link, as merchant of record, calculates and adds any applicable tax at checkout from your billing address, and may show prices in your local currency.
11. Usage limits and the monthly AI allowance (fair use)
KittyYawn's hosted AI (live guidance, Live Answers, summaries, follow-ups) runs on third-party models that cost us money per use. Two kinds of limit apply, both reset each billing period (calendar month on Free):
- Listed limits on the pricing page: copilot hours, Live Answers, cloud summaries and the other rows in the "Monthly allowance" table.
- A monthly AI allowance per plan (per seat on team plans) that bounds the total model usage behind those features. Unusually heavy use within one hour — very long or dense meetings, many Live Answers, large context — can reach the allowance before the listed hours are used up. When either limit is reached, hosted AI pauses until the next period (or until you upgrade); the app keeps working locally (transcription, notes, your existing meetings).
- The Free plan additionally shares a daily pool across all Free users; on a busy day Free hosted AI may pause before your own monthly limits. Pro and above are not subject to the pool.
- Rate limits protect the service against abuse. We may change limits for new periods; changes for paid plans are announced in advance.
Using your own Anthropic API key ("bring your own key") is not subject to these limits; any cost from Anthropic is between you and Anthropic.
12. Your data
How KittyYawn handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. You keep ownership of your meeting content; you grant us only the rights needed to provide the service (store, sync and process it as the Privacy Policy describes).
13. You are responsible for recording consent
You are solely responsible for complying with recording-consent, wiretapping and workplace-monitoring laws that apply to your meetings, and for notifying other participants as required. KittyYawn reminds you of this during setup and offers a helper that copies a disclosure line to your clipboard for you to paste into a meeting chat; it does not announce, send or type anything on your behalf and does not determine what the law requires where you are.
14. Acceptable use
Use KittyYawn only for meetings you are authorized to record and transcribe. Don't use it to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to probe or overload the service, or to build a competing model from its outputs. Don't resell access. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
15. Feedback
If you send us feedback or bug reports, you agree we can use that feedback to improve KittyYawn without owing you anything for it.
16. Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings › Account in the app. Deletion is immediate and removes your synced data, usage and analytics records, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- If a paid subscription is billed to you, cancel it first; the app refuses deletion while a subscription is active, past due or trialing, so that you are not charged for an account that no longer exists. Access continues to the end of the paid period; after that, deletion works.
- If you are the only owner of a shared workspace that still has other members, transfer ownership or remove the members first.
- We may suspend or close your account for breach of these terms. We may discontinue KittyYawn or the beta with reasonable notice. If we do, the unused part of a prepaid subscription period is refunded through Link to the original payment method, as applicable law and Link's merchant-of-record terms provide.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. For material changes we will update the "Last updated" date, note the change on this page, and the app will ask you to accept the new version before you next use hosted AI. Where a material change affects a paid plan, we give you at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect, and existing paid subscriptions continue under the new terms from their next renewal unless you cancel.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the next sentence, disputes relating to these terms or KittyYawn are brought in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California. Nothing in these terms takes away the mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts.
