Support
Three ways to reach us. For bugs, the in-app report is best because it carries the diagnostics we need.
Actions
Report a problem from inside the app
Press ⌃⌥P, or choose Help › Report a Problem… from the menu bar. Describe what happened and click Save, then Send to KittyYawn support… to open a draft in your mail app. Nothing is sent until you send it. If you don’t use Apple Mail, attach the saved report to an email to support@kittyyawn.com.
A report includes the app version, your macOS version, timestamps, any error or crash details, and the description you write. It never includes your transcripts, audio or screenshots, unless you explicitly attach one yourself.
Common setup problems
KittyYawn can’t hear the other side of the call
System audio permission is missing. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording, turn on KittyYawn (choose “System Audio Recording Only” if offered), then restart listening in the app.
The microphone meter stays flat
Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone and turn on KittyYawn. If you denied it during setup, the Today screen shows how to fix it.
The sign-in code never arrives
Codes come from no-reply@mail.kittyyawn.com and expire after 10 minutes. Check spam, then request a new code. Too many requests in an hour are rate-limited; wait and try again.
I see a waitlist screen after signing in
The beta is admitting people in batches. You’re on the list and we’ll email you when there is room. You can still use KittyYawn with your own Anthropic key in the meantime.
macOS says it can’t verify the app
Only older pre-release builds do that. Public beta releases are signed and notarized. For an old build: System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway.
Hosted AI paused with “allowance” or “today’s limit”
You reached your plan’s monthly allowance, or (on Free) the shared daily pool. Recording, local transcription and your notes keep working. See how limits work; your own Anthropic key is never limited by us.
FAQ
Does a bot join my call?
No. KittyYawn runs on your Mac and listens to your microphone and system audio. It never appears as a participant in Zoom, Meet, Teams or any other call.
Do I need my own API key?
No. The default is KittyYawn’s hosted AI. Bringing your own Anthropic API key is an optional, advanced setting; Anthropic’s usage costs are then yours.
Where is my data stored?
Locally on your Mac by default. Short windows of transcript text go to the AI provider during a meeting. If you turn sync on, summaries, decisions and commitments sync to your account; transcripts and audio never do. See Privacy.
Can other people see my meetings?
No, not unless you explicitly share something. Using a team workspace’s knowledge in a meeting never shares that meeting.
What does the web console do?
Optional: your account, invites, meeting history and billing, at app.kittyyawn.com. The same email code signs you in.
How do I leave the beta or delete my data?
Use the in-app controls (Forget, Delete meetings, Delete account). If a paid subscription is billed to you, cancel it first. Or email support@kittyyawn.com and we’ll help.
What to expect in the beta
- Apple silicon Mac only. macOS 15 or later. Windows is in development; no Windows version yet.
- Updates are manual. KittyYawn tells you when a new build is out; download the DMG and drag it over the old one.
- Live Answer, Screen Context and Verified Actions are beta. They can be slow, wrong or unavailable. Nothing runs from a Verified Action until you approve it.
- Usage limits per plan. The app tells you when you reach a limit.
- Things will break. Report them; we read every report.
